General
- The Windmoor does not have any staff or check-in desk on site.
- When you arrive to the property, select a parking spot you like and place the parking card located in your room, in your vehicle
- Use the door code provided via text by to access your room (‘self check-in’).
- Prior to your arrival, your room will be cleaned and stocked with 2 sets of towels and washcloths and all systems will be checked to ensure they’re operating as expected.
- You can access the Owner’s Manual section of the website to help guide you through your stay at The Windmoor.
Check-in begins at 4:00 p.m., and check-out is at 11 a.m. Early check-ins or late check-outs may be available upon request and subject to availability. Requests for early check in can be submitted via hotel messaging on the morning of your arrival.
Yes! Our team takes great care to ensure your suite is thoroughly cleaned and perfectly prepared for your arrival. During your stay, we also offer a daily Refresh & Replenish service. If you need extra towels, toiletries, or any other essentials, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our guest services team—we’re here to help.
Yes our WiFi is secure, high-speed, and included for hotel guests as part of your Amenity Fee.
Absolutely! Blowing Rockis a vibrant town with outdoor adventures, unique shopping, and cultural attractions. From hiking trails to shopping local boutiques, there's something for everyone. Our guest services team is happy to provide recommendations tailored to your interests.

While we love our furry friends, The Windmoor Hotel is not pet-friendly to maintain the comfort and allergies of all our guests. Having un-approved pets at the hotel will result in a minimum additional cleaning charge of $300 and eviction. Service animals are welcome.
Smoking is not permitted inside or on the balconies the hotel. Smoking will result in a minimum additional cleaning charge of $300 and eviction.
The Town of Blowing Rock has ordinances stating, ‘Raucous noise from a party or gathering in residential areas is prohibited after 11:00 p.m.’ We enforce these Town ordinances and ask that guests be mindful of their neighbors’ different sleeping/waking schedules during their stay.

As this fee is integrated into your reservation, it cannot be waived, ensuring that all guests enjoy these premium conveniences and an elevated experience during their stay at the Windmor Hotel.
Yes. One hairdryer will be provided in each suite.
Yes! Each room includes our signature coffee steeping bags from Steeped Coffee, a unique and eco-friendly way to enjoy a fresh brew. These single-use coffee bags are quick and easy to use—just steep in hot water for a rich, flavorful cup.
For your convenience, we also provide an in-room hot water kettle, a selection of tea bags, and thoughtfully curated amenities to enhance your coffee bar experience.
Yes, we provide on-site parking exclusively for our hotel guests. Spaces are limited one space per reservation.
Reservations
- Cancellations made greater than 21 days from check-in date are entitled to a full refund, less a $50 cancellation fee.
- Cancellations made 14-21 days from check-in date are entitled to a 50% refund.
- Cancellations made 14 days or less from check-in date are not entitled to a refund.
- Cancellations made on reservations booked within 7 days of check-in date are not entitled to a refund.
- Any changes made to your reservation within these time frames will be subject to our cancellation policy.
If you need to add or remove a night(s) from an existing reservation, please contact our staff via email, contact@windmoorhotel.com or call us at (828) 237-1255. Please include your reservation number when submitting a change to any reservation.
Changes to an existing reservation must be made at least 21 days prior to the check-in date
Changing dates for an entire reservation will be subject to our cancellation policies (see FAQ item above).
Immediately upon making a reservation, you will receive both email and text communications from us. Your confirmation email will include your check-in and check-out dates, our policies, reservation billing details, and contact information.
At 8 a.m. on the morning of your arrival, you will receive an email and text with your smart lock code so that you can access the hotel’s exterior and room keypads.
Guests making same-day reservations will receive a text message containing necessary check-in information as well.
100% of reservation fees will be charged to your method of payment at the time of booking.
